The next big Con to open its doors will be the New York Comic Con. This event takes place in New York City (Duh) from October 8th-10th at the Jacob K. Javits Center. If you’re thinking about attending here’s ticket information.
It looks like this Con will have a good amount of celebrities including James Marsters (Buffy), Bruce Campbell (Burn Notice), Stan Lee and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galatica). Of course there will be plenty of comic book related guests as well such as Francis Manapul (DC Comics), Matt Fraction (Marvel) and Renee Witterstaetter. You can see a list of the guests here. As always you’ll find Artist Alley as well which will be home to more than 300 artists!
If you are planning on going you might want to check out Imy the Comic. It’s a webcomic by Irma Eriksson who just happens to be a great friend of mine! She’s going to be at New York Comic Con and is excited to meet tons of new people. She won’t have her own table though. She’ll be sharing table space with Th3rd World. That’s why you won’t see her name listed on the website. She’ll have tons of goodies though for everyone and I know she’s been working really hard on making this happen.
