As a frequent traveler of the American comics convention circuit one of my favorite perks when I visit all of the cities is the opportunity to try out new restaurants. Although I am easily satisfied by stopping at a simple burger joint I have to be considerate of the options made available to my girlfriend, who is vegan.
While basically everywhere sells plain salad and water I know from experience how frustratingly boring that can be meal after meal while she watches me enjoy the full spectrum of foods that an uninhibited diet yields. So we do our research ahead of time, check out menus and reviews online and make lists of possible food eateries that have both a pleasing menu and an appropriate atmosphere for a couple in their mid-twenties.
To get this started, here is a VERY small list of places we have found that may suit the needs of all in your party and happen to serve more than basic salad. If you know of any places that offer great vegan options please contact us and we will add it to the list.
TIP: If you want a drink with ice avoid the fast food joints near the convention center. Travel a bit north and you might luck out.
