LOS ANGELES -The Hub TV Network, a destination for kids and their families, returns to Comic-Con International in San Diego in spectacular fashion with a presence at five panels, a live concert, a restaurant take-over and a trolley-car transformation. The lineup of events includes a panel session featuring famed broadcast interviewer Larry King in his first visit to Comic-Con International in San Diego as he takes an inside look at the iconic TRANSFORMERS Autobot OPTIMUS PRIME and the half-hour CG animated series “Transformers Prime” in a one-on-one interview with legendary voice actor Peter Cullen.
Produced by Hasbro Studios, “Transformers Prime” was recently honored with two Daytime Emmy(R) Awards including Outstanding Special Class Animated Program.
“The Aquabats! Super Show!” produced by FremantleMedia, returns to Comic-Con International in San Diego ready for battle with a panel designed to recap their first season of rockin’ crime-fighting adventures and a concert to showcase their extraordinarily unique musical talents at the House of Blues on Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. PT. Blending live-action comedic sketches with animation segments sprinkled throughout, the concert promises to be a ridiculously fun event for kids of all ages. Additionally, the 2012 Comic-Con International in San Diego will debut several first-time panels featuring programming from The Hub including the pop culture phenomenon “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” and fanboy favorites “Dan Vs.” and “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters.”TM “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” and “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters” TM are produced by Hasbro Studios. “Dan Vs.” is produced by Film Roman Inc. (a Starz Media Company) in association with The Hatchery, LLC.
In addition to the ambitious slate of series panels planned for avid attendees, The Hub is taking the Comic-Con experience outside the convention halls with “The Hub Headquarters at the Broken Yolk.” The network will take over the popular Gaslamp District eatery The Broken Yolk (355 6th Ave., San Diego, CA) Thursday, July 12 through Sunday, July 15, and provide conference-goers with a fully immersive experience. The restaurant will feature décor from The Hub, special menu items, giveaways, costume characters, photo ops, and live appearances from The Hub’s talent.
To transport fans to and from the convention in style, The Hub will transform one car of the San Diego Trolley system to create a magical “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” experience showcasing some of the series’ most popular characters inside and out. The train will be styled as the Friendship Express train, which is featured in the popular animated series.
Visitors to the Broken Yolk will also receive a secret code to gain exclusive access on Hubworld.com to the eagerly anticipated “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” themed, 8-bit “Adventure Pony” game already teased on the network.

Friday, July 13, “Dan Vs.” Special Live Comic-Con Exclusive Table Read (10:30 a.m., Room 6A)
Making its debut at Comic-Con International in San Diego is The Hub Television Network’s animated series “Dan Vs.” that follows Dan (Curtis Armstrong, Revenge of the Nerds), a lovable curmudgeon on a misguided quest for justice that leads him and his pals, Chris (Dave Foley, “Kids in the Hall”) and Elise (Paget Brewster, “Criminal Minds”), into misadventures and catastrophes. The cast, co-creators Chris Pearson and Dan Mandel, supervising producer/director Brian Sheesley, and moderator Tom Kenny (“SpongeBob SquarePants”) will participate in a live table read of a written-exclusively-for-Comic-Con script and give a behind-the-scenes look at the series.
