If you’re looking for another item to add to your already busy Comic-Con schedule, Adam Ant is kicking off his new tour July 17th in San Diego. UTSanDiego.com is reporting that the show will happen at the Balboa Theater. Tickets are priced at $20-$56 each and will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster (show isn’t listed yet) or by phone (619) 570–1100, (858) 570–1100 or (760) 570–1100.
Unless you’re a huge fan, I can’t see spending $56. That’s money I could use for an exclusive! Hell, even the lower priced $20 ticket is pushing it. It will be interesting to see how well tickets sell though. Will it become a new trend for artists to kick off a tour during Comic-Con? Right now it’s Adam Ant but could it work for a group like Barenaked Ladies who have had concerts during the SDCC time frame in the past? I guess only time will tell!
