Inspired by the popular indie game, “Hotline Miami,” Hotline Comic Con is a video-game themed event in the midst of Comic-Con weekend. Guests are invited to enjoy beverages while they indulge in live dance music provided by our special guests. Hotline Comic-Con is ages 21+ and has an admission price of $15.

Originally released in the Fall of 2012 by Dennaton Games for PC, “Hotline Miami” was inspired by the 80s aesthetic movie, “Drive.” “Hotline Miami” is now out for Mac, PS3 and PSVita. The game and its accompanying soundtrack has been highly reviewed within the video game community with praise from non-gamers, as well.

Headlining Hotline Comic Con is Australian band Miami Horror, known for their 80′s-influenced dance music and single collaborations with artists such as Kimbra and Alan Palomo of Neon Indian. Following the Hotline Miami theme, producer Scattle will be opening the event as he produced five of the singles on the “Hotline Miami” soundtrack, including “Knock Knock” and “Flatline.” Also opening up for Hotline Comic Con is the self-proclaimed “Tropical Ambassador of San Diego,” DJ/Producer Colour Vision. In the past, he has opened up for Miami Horror, Cut Copy, and Ladytron.
