Everyone’s favorite staged show & podcast is back – with guests & surprises

After a staggering presence at San Diego Comic-Con including a sold out Welcome to Night Vale cross-over collaboration (audio releasing to Bandcamp and iTunes on Oct 1), everyone’s favorite podcast/staged show/graphic novel/web series/transmedia mogul brand, The Thrilling Adventure Hour, returns to New York City for New York Comic Con and New York Super Week in October.

Join the WorkJuice Players from your favorite “new-time podcast in the style of old time radio,” for a host of appearances with a slew of special guests during New York Comic Con with a dedicated Thrilling Adventure Hour booth for signings and exclusive merchandise, a full cast panel on Sunday, October 12 with special New York Comic Con announcements, appearances in the World of Mouse Guard panel – and more!

The WorkJuice Players will be present including Paget Brewster, Paul F. Tompkins, Marc Evan Jackson, Autumn Reeser, Craig Cackowski, Hal Lublin, and Mark Gagliardi, co-creators Ben Acker & Ben Blacker and show composer Andy Paley. Special guests include Janet Varney (The Legend of Korra), Terry Kinney (Oz), geek singer-songwriters Paul & Storm, Scott Adsit (30 Rock) as well as your favorite players from “WorkJuice East” including John Hodgman (The Daily Show) and Jonathan Coulton.

Don’t have a Comic Con badge? The Thrilling Adventure Hour is participating in the first ever New York Super Week for off-site ticketed events and appearances that are open to the public.

Super-star writers Charles Soule (Death of Wolverine; She-Hulk; Letter 44; Superman & Wonder Woman; more!) and Gerry Duggan (Deadpool; Nova; Hulk) join hosts Ben Blacker (Thunderbolts; Thrilling Adventure Hour) and Heath Corson (Batman: Assault on Arkham) for a special NYCC edition of Nerdist Comics Panel on Wednesday October 8th. They’ll discuss the process and business of writing comic books, writing for Marvel and DC, and ways to kill Wolverine. The Nerdist Comics Panel Part 2 features Ben Blacker, Heath Corson and Brian Michael Bendis (Guardians of the Galaxy) Friday, October 10th at Rockbar. Both are at Rockbar in the West Village and benefit 826 NYC, a non-profit dedicated to encouraging creative writing with NY area students.

The Nerdist Writers Panel on Thursday, October 9 features a conversation with Danny Strong (The Butler; Hunger Games Mockingjay) and Ales Kot (Secret Avengers; Iron Patriot) benefitting Housing Works to fight homelessness and AIDS in NY, hosted by Ben Blacker (Supernatural; Puss in Boots).

Sold out events include two Thrilling Adventure Hour live shows with a host of surprise guests at their normal haunt in the Bell House of Brooklyn on Saturday, October 11; and a lively conversation for the ages at the Dead Authors Podcast: Live with Paul F. Tompkins with John Hodgman benefitting 826NYC on Wednesday, October 8th at Littlefield NYC.

On Friday, October 10th, The WorkJuice Players will create an entire show on the spot and take questions from fans in Thrilling Adventure Hour Presents: WorkJuice Improv Show & Panel, also at at Littlefield NYC, with special guests Janet Varney (The Legend of Korra), Scott Adsit (30 Rock) and Donal Logue (Gotham).
