Gail Simone and Bryan Lee O’Malley Come to NYCC!

Gail Simone is a fan-favorite, multiple award-winning writer of comics and animation, and #1 New York Times Bestselling graphic novelist.

She began her career writing the popular comics parody column, You’ll All Be Sorry for, which led to her writing Simpsons material for Bongo Comics, Deadpool for Marvel, and the creator-owned Killer Princesses (with co-creator and artist Lea Hernandez) for Oni Press.

She has since written for many different publishers, including runs many consider definitive on books such as Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman, the All-New Atom, and the cult favorite Secret Six. She currently is writing Batgirl and Red Sonja for DC and Dynamite, respectively.

Her creator-owned book, LEAVING MEGALOPOLIS, with artist/co-creator Jim Calafiore, was the most successful superhero comics book ever on Kickstarter.

She has also written prose, game material, and animation, including episodes of Tomb Raider, Justice League Unlimited, Batman: Brave and the Bold, and was a co-writer of the Wonder Woman animated film.

Bryan Lee O’Malley is the creator of the bestselling Scott Pilgrim series, which was adapted into a major motion picture, ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,’ in 2010. His #1 New York Times bestselling graphic novel, ‘Seconds’, released in July 2014. He lives in Los Angeles, where he continues to make comics.

Mr. O’Malley will be appearing Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
