Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., season five, is a rollercoaster ride I don’t want to end. This season has blown my mind, broke my heart, and made me laugh until my sides ached. AoS recently celebrated its 100th episode with a wedding and a jaw-dropping revelation; the following episodes haven’t slowed the pace—proving this show keeps getting better with every season. At Wonder Con 2018, WNA got a chance to sit down and talk to the cast, writers and producers of the show. Here’s what they have to say.
Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May), Chloe Bennet (Daisy Johnson), Jeff Ward (Deke Shaw), Jeph Loeb (Executive Producer)
Chloe remains optimistic for Daisy, despite all that has happened to her this season. Jeff and Jeph expound on how Deke can make everything about him and Ming-Na stays closed lipped about a May-Coulson coupling—though Chloe thinks it is the slow build that keeps a relationship alive. (Well, keeps those in the relationship alive.)
Iain De Caestecker (Leo Fitz) & Elizabeth Henstridge (Jemma Simmons)
Iain and Elizabeth look back on their journey up to this point, their wedding and Fitz’s trip to the dark side? After all, his plan worked—the question is at what cost? And the biggest question: is Simmons Pregnant?
Natalia Cordova Buckley (Yo-Yo) & Henry Simmons (Mack)
Yo-Yo and Mack have a strong relationship, but how will the introduction of robotic arms affect the two people that have the biggest aversion to robots?
Jeffrey Bell (Executive Producer, Jed Whedon (Creator/Writer), & Maurissa Tancharoen (Creator/Writer)
Do you want to know who tortures our agents—these people right here! Has this season left you feeling nervous, happy and sad? Good! That’s what they want. Want to know if there will be a season six? Yeah, so do they.
