APB Panel discussion
This past weekend the cast (Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Stasey, and Justin Kirk) of FOX’s APB along with executive producers Len Wiseman and Trey Callaway teased audiences at WonderCon with what to expect with upcoming episodes, what the cast would like to see happen on the show, why technology can’t fix every problem, and why KISS is or isn’t the band it used to be.
There will be some changes for some of the characters. Especially Ada Hamilton (Caitlin Stasey). She will get to see a little more of the real world. We won’t always see her typing away on a keyboard, and her dealings with DV8 (Ty Olwin) are going to have repercussions– effects that Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk) most likely will not be able to fix in his usual manner.
Ned Conrad (Ernie Hudson) is going to get some action with the ladies—well if Ernie Hudson has any say in the matter. He purposefully left his wedding ring off while filming in hopes of getting out of the station and getting a date. As for Gideon, he would just like to not have to fly the drones from now on.
With only three more episodes and no information yet as to the show being cancelled or renewed, the cast and producers are playing their cards close to their chests, as far as plot goes. What is apparent is this show is a labor of love, and made with a passion to inspire change in the world.
In the show, technology can solve some problems, but in doing so may create others. It isn’t the end all, be all. The show isn’t purely about the technology, but how it can be a tool of change in how crime is being fought. The show is set in modern day, and how they incorporate the use of high-tech, crime fighting gadgets could feasibly be implemented in real-life.
APB, airs Mondays 9/8c on FOX.
As for the KISS question—it is a personal choice everyone needs to make for themselves. Gideon out.
