Not a very big motel but within walking distance of the San Diego Trolleys Old Town station which takes you to the Convention Center. They have several types of rooms ranging from double twin beds to rooms with kitchens. I stayed in the single queen bedroom room for comic con. I got one of the rooms with a fridge. Parts if the hotel are from the 1940s but is in very good shape and maintained well. There is a continental breakfast which is very nice when working on a budget for a con. There is a breakfast place near by and several places to eat in Old Town which is just past the trolley station. There is a target, In-n-out, Burger King, and Del Taco a short ride away. It gave me a nice place to escape from the craziness of down town during the con. The only issue might be parking but if you take the trolley each day to the con and you don’t move your vehicle you will be fine.
