DC Comics’ official blog, The Source, ran an article detailing a few of the new releases that fans can expect to see at next week’s Toy Fair in New York City.
One of the big reveals that has fans excited is the new line-up of 3 3/4 inch scaled action figures based off of the upcoming video game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. The scale was previously used by DC Collectibles on a few convention exclusive Green Lantern two-packs (no word on that line yet).
Another item that has been catching buzz is the statue of Nightwing as he appeared in the promotional art for the hit video game Arkham City. The strong black and white depiction gives him an unearthly look while the contrasting bright blue of his uniform really demands attention.
Continuing on the strength of previous releases, the New 52 action figures will see some more releases, with a few two-packs as well as solo figures featuring members of the upcoming Finch/Johns Justice League America.
There are a slew of items related to the Man of Steel film that were not shown but listed, and there is also a two-pack featuring a Batman and Robin as seen on the DC Nation cartoon segments. Eagle-eyed fans might notice that this appears to be the same Batman figure that was offered in a solo release as an exclusive during this past New York Comic Con, but the press release states that the figure will indeed be a redeco.
We will have more photos and information of DC Collectibles and their releases during our Toy Fair coverage starting next week!
