HitFix is reporting that Cinemax will premier season two of its show “Strike Back” at San Diego Comic Con. Philip Winchester, Sullivan Stapleton and Rhona Mitra will be present for the panel and it will be moderated by HitFix’s own Alan Sepinwall. The panel will be Friday at 8 p.m. in Room 9DE.
That’s not all though. On July 14th, Cinemax will be hosting a screening of the first two episodes of the new season at 1 p.m. at the Reading Cinemas Gaslamp Stadium 15. Even though it’s off site, it appears you’ll need a badge to attend. As with most screenings, seating is first come/first serve.
I’ve honestly never heard of this show before but I don’t have Cinemax. It sounds to be full of action though. Here’s a little information from their official page:
A high-octane, globe-spanning thriller with storylines ripped from today’s headlines, Strike Back, Cinemax’s first scripted prime-time original drama series, focuses on two members of a top-secret intelligence agency known as Section 20: Michael Stonebridge, a British sergeant on the elite counter-terrorism team, and Damien Scott, a former U.S. Delta Force operative who was discharged on the eve of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Stonebridge, Scott and the rest of Section 20 criss-cross the globe on the trail of a deadly international terrorist named Latif, who is planning a major attack involving a cache of WMD that could have global repercussions
