San Diego Hilton Bayfront Accepting Reservations!

San Diego Comic Con

Posted on their official Twitter feed, the people over at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego have made a portion of their rooms available for booking between July 11th & the 16th (also known as Comic-Con’s dates). While you can change the check in and out dates to suit your needs, this offer is only available until July 9th or when the block of rooms is sold out.

Located right off the southern tip of the convention center, this hotel is ideal for those of you who want to wait in the line for Hall H early in the morning. The recently built footbridge connecting the parking lot to Petco Park passing over the very busy Harbor Drive and the train tracks is also a cool perk when venturing into the Gaslamp district for a night out.

There is one catch however, the booking has to be paid in full, up-front. I found that the current price listed is a bit more expensive than I would be willing to pay but given how in demand rooms are I will see no issue with them selling out as the con approaches.

  • I just tried to book for my dates, July 9th – 15 but it would not let me. I tried for the 11th – 15th and it would allow it, but the price was $499 for a King room and $539 for 2 Queen beds.

That is quite a bit more than I’m paying for a condo and certainly more than what will be offered via the official Comic-Con process.

However, if you want the guarantee, and I’m sure that some folks do, it might be worth it to them.

  • Thanks for posting this “heads up”!

Would have been great but $539/nite for a double is outrageous. Only way that works is if a group of fans cram into share the room and split the fee. That single nite rate is more than the cost of the entire event stay when a hotel is split between two people just about everywhere else. Including the other closest hotels.
