I want to thank Sharlene for sending this in!

“What the heck is CHUCKFEST3?” you ask. In case you’ve been living under a geeky rock, it’s an awesome fan charity event! On November 5th in Los Angeles, the good folks at WeHeartChuck organized this fantastic gathering for the 3rd and final time for fans of the nerd-spy action dramedy. Chuck.
As this is the show’s last season, it was a bittersweet meeting of fans, cast members and the creative team of what I consider to be one of the most original series in quite a long time.
Once more, I volunteered to help at the event and had the time of my life! With the help of all the attendees, WHC have raised $15,320 for Operation Smile thus far for Zachary Levi’s charity of choice. One life-saving surgery is only $240, so by participating by attending the event or giving in some other way, the lives of people around the world are being saved.
Part of the event was a cocktail hour with the creative team and co-creator, Chris Fedak, while later in the day it was trivia with Big Mike himself, Mark Christopher Lawrence! You could feel the excitement in the air as fans met each other for the first time…or the millionth time. There was plenty of nervous energy when it came to the part everyone had been waiting for – the meet & greet with entire cast of Chuck!
In attendance were Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster, Mekenna Melvin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay, and Linda Hamilton! Even though Captain Awesome aka Ryan McPartlin couldn’t make it, he was kind enough to sign photos for everyone prior to the event as did everyone’s favorite general, Bonita Friedericy. I can never say this enough – this cast is truly one of the kindest and generous cast I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. You don’t see this kind of thing happening for other shows; the cast is just as dedicated as the fans are.
While I was running around the venue working, I got to sit down from time to time chat with Zac , had him sign my Season 1 Chuck poster to make it “special” and receive the best hugs (after my mom’s of course) from Linda, who is the nicest woman ever! I’m so happy that I’ve been able to volunteer my time to such a fantastic event – everyone seemed to have the time of their lives.
I took some photos below, but feel free to click the link to see photos from Chuckfest3 and more from others.
So long Chuck and thanks for all the pineapples!
