Chicago Comic Con!

Conventions

If you couldn’t make it to San Diego Comic Con and live in in the Chicago area you might want to check out Chicago Comic Con by Wizard World. I’ll warn you right now though, it’s nothing like The Big Show. Don’t go in with huge exceptions. I do think it’s a great place to check out some amazing artists though. I know personally, that since there’s just so much to do at San Diego Comic Con, I don’t always make it over to Artist Alley. It’s a shame because you can really get your hands on some amazing pieces of art.

The Chicago Comic Con will be August 11th-14th at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. You can still purchase tickets online. You’ll save a few bucks if you buy in advance. A 4 Day ticket is only $50 online and single days are only $25 online. Just like with any Wizard World convention though they’re offering some special VIP ticket packages. Who are the VIPs this year?

Bruce Campbell: $150
Morena Baccarin: $150
Felicia Day: $150
James Marsters: $175
Julie Benz: $150
Christopher Lloyd: $150

There’s a Buffyfest package as well that I wrote about earlier. All the prices are above are if you purchase tickets in advance. There are tickets available for various photo ops as well.

Here’s a sample of the programming:

I think that about covers it. As I said before, it’s a nice chance to maybe pick up some new stuff, check out some amazing artists and see a few celebrities that maybe you missed at a larger Con. Are any of you planning on attending?
