This is for the people out there who are looking for a place in the clouds to enjoy a meal or maybe some beverages in a fresh atmosphere high above the hustle and bustle of the street level 5th Ave scene.

If you are out looking for something hip and memorable during your time in San Diego then look no farther than The Altitude Sky Lounge. Amazing music, fun people and a view that you will never forget, this bar overlooks the city right in the prime spot just a mere three blocks from the Convention Center on top of the Marriott Gaslamp.

Set right on top of Hotel Solamar, LOUNGEsix is not as high up as others on this list (it is only on the fourth floor) but there is a hell of a lot of fun to be had at this rooftop pool venue. With the VIP parties that are held at Solamar this place is one of the premiere hot tickets during the convention weekend. Just a few blocks from the con it might be worth it to stop by and check out whats what but be warned, the proper way to enjoy your time here might be by renting one of the many cabanas which are often sold out well in advance.

This was one of the best places I have been to during my con trip last year. Although this is an indoor lounge that takes nothing away from the experience. Just a short walk along the water from the Convention Center, this bar was where it was at for me. Situated on a whopping 40 stories up with floor to ceiling windows, this is the place to go to if you want to see the sun set or enjoy the San Diego lights.

While this is a bit of a walk form the convention center (SIX BLOCKS!) The Ivy has the largest rooftop space to party in San Diego. While I have not experienced this place for myself all of the club scene gurus I have spoken to have mentioned this place. Another place with cabanas and bottle service, not to mention parties with SPECTACULAR looking women, you can bet that this place is on my radar.
