No Justice For Justified Fans at Comic-Con

San Diego Comic Con

Despite the rave reviews and the recent third season pick-up for FX’s gritty urban western, there will be no San Diego Comic-Con presence for Justified this year. Dominic Pagone (@Dom_Pagone) ┬áresponded to my query on Wednesday about the possibility of Justified being in San Diego with not the answer I was hoping for.

So, if you were hoping beyond all hope for the chance at gander at real life Raylan Givens, Timothy Olyphant, then it’s time to put your hopes elsewhere. No word yet on what properties FX will be showing off in July, but I’ll keep you posted!

Justified airs Wednesdays on FX.

  • Maybe SDCC is trying to cut back on shows, that really have no place there. While Justified is a great show, its just a great cop show (importance on cop). It would be like having a Law and Order panel, that doesn’t sound like something that should be at SDCC.

    • Let me clarify though that Comic Con *does* have say in what gets promoted, I didn’t mean to suggest otherwise. I think in this case that FX has decided not to promote this property at SDCC.

  • I don’t think it has anything to do with SDCC cutting back on shows, it’s that FX is choosing not to promote it. I’m sure there will be many other Fox/FX shows that will have a presence and there are bound to be a few that don’t “sound like something that should be at SDCC” to someone.

    • You make a great point. I was thinking that SDCC said no, but with it already being renewed for season 3 it probably doesn’t need the additional hype. While there are other shows on FX that will probably want to be there like Archer and most likely Powers.
